Wood Selection:

Here at JDBRustic.com we utilize a large variety of woods in the manufacture of our products. We use only native american woods. You will NEVER find an exotic wood product on our site. Our goal is to preserve and promote the Western American lifestyle.

Some of the woods we use:

Rough Cedar:

Used primarily in our picture frames. This wood choice gives a unique rustic look to your artwork and photographs.

Pine:

A soft, relatively inexpensive American wood which we use in a variety of our products.

Select Pine:

Select pine is higher quality than "whitewood" boards. It will carry much less knots and a finer grain with minimal cracking. We use this primarily for our jewelry box covers. It is appoximately double the cost of whitewood pine boards.

Red Oak:

Red oak is an American Hardwood that is extremely beautiful when finished. We use this wood primarily for some of our high end furniture. We don't use a lot of hardwood because it doesn't give as much of a rustic look as the softer woods such as pine and cedar.
